What data we collect through this site, why, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights.

This text is a baseline aligned with the principles of Ivorian law no. 2013-450 on the protection of personal data and with the European GDPR. It must be adapted to your actual processing activities and reviewed by counsel before publication. A filing with the ARTCI may be required.

Data controller

The controller of the data collected through this site is Avangard SARL, whose registered office is in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. For any question relating to this policy, write to [email protected].

Data collected

We collect only the data you voluntarily provide through the contact form:

  • Identity: first name, last name and job title
  • Organisation: name and sector of activity
  • Contact details: work email address and, where given, telephone number
  • The content of your enquiry: subject and free-text message

No sensitive data within the meaning of the regulations is requested. The form explicitly asks you not to send confidential or classified information.

Where you apply for a role, we additionally collect the information in the application form and the CV you attach. Applications are handled separately from commercial enquiries and are accessible only to the people responsible for recruitment.

Recipients

Your data is accessible only to Avangard staff responsible for handling your enquiry. It is neither sold, transferred nor rented to third parties.

Technical subcontractors are involved in running the site: our host Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) and our business email provider. These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

Transfers outside Côte d’Ivoire

As the site is hosted in Germany, data transits and is stored within the European Union, in a framework offering a level of protection recognised as adequate.

Retention periods

  • Enquiries with no commercial follow-up: three years from the last exchange
  • Contractual relationships: the term of the contract, then the statutory retention period applicable to commercial and accounting records
  • Job applications: two years from receipt, unless you ask for them to be deleted sooner
  • Server technical logs: twelve months at most

Cookies and analytics

This site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers for profiling purposes. Only cookies strictly necessary to the operation of the site may be set.

If an analytics tool is introduced later, a consent banner will be displayed and this section updated accordingly.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Administrative access is restricted and protected by strengthened authentication. Security updates to the platform are applied regularly, and the infrastructure is monitored.

Your rights

Under the applicable regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, together with a right to data portability.

To exercise those rights, write to [email protected] setting out your request. We reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested where there is reasonable doubt as to who you are.

If, having contacted us, you consider that your rights are not being respected, you may refer the matter to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Côte d’Ivoire (ARTCI) or to the competent data protection authority in your country of residence.
