We do not hire
profiles, we hire people

Cybersecurity is a trade where you learn constantly, often under pressure, and rarely alone. We look for people who are curious, rigorous and honest about what they do not yet know.

Why us

A demanding trade,
in a human-sized company

In a large organisation, a security engineer often spends years on a single perimeter. Here, the same person might deploy a platform one quarter, run a SOC the next, and train a client’s teams after that.

That variety has a price: you have to accept being a beginner at something on a regular basis. It also has a rare upside: in three years you will have seen what takes others ten years to come across.

What we do not promise

Neither quiet days nor a role without surprises. A SOC moves at the pace of incidents, and a deployment always meets whatever the documentation failed to anticipate. We would rather say so before the interview.

Progression at Avangard: starting with support, consolidating through certifications, passing knowledge on, then choosing between technical expertise and management

Two routes for progression, and no obligation to move into management in order to advance.

Frequently asked

What candidates ask us

Do I need prior cybersecurity experience?

Not for tier 1 analyst roles or for internships. A solid grounding in systems and networks, curiosity and rigour are enough: the security specialisation is acquired here. For detection engineering or architecture roles, prior experience is necessary.

Do you fund certifications?

Yes, for certifications that serve your role and your progression. Preparation time counts as working time. We do not tie that funding to a minimum period of service: a skill we have funded remains yours.

Is there on-call duty?

On roles attached to continuously operated services, yes. It is scheduled in advance, governed contractually and compensated. Project and engineering roles carry none.

Is remote working possible?

It depends on the role and the current engagement. Some work requires being on the client’s site, other work is done entirely remotely. We discuss it frankly at interview rather than announcing a general rule that reality would contradict.

Can I progress without becoming a manager?

Yes, and it is in fact the more common route. The technical track — platform lead, architect, detection expert — reaches the same levels of responsibility and pay as management. Becoming a manager is a choice, not a rite of passage.

Do you recruit outside Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco?

Our two locations account for our recruitment today. We do nonetheless consider applications from experienced people who would like to join one or the other.

Nothing matches? Write to us anyway.

We keep speculative applications and come back to them when a role opens. Introduce yourself in a few lines, tell us what interests you and attach your CV.
